Kingsway Community Church

Jacaranda Cottage is a refuge that was established in the Sutherland Shire in 1992. It accommodates young women aged between sixteen and twenty who are homeless or at risk. These young women come from situations of abuse, neglect, domestic violence and family breakdown. Jacaranda Cottage provides a safe and nurturing environment for young women to discover themselves as a person of worth and value. Young women are encouraged to realise and reach their potential in life.

Young women are equipped with essential living skills during their stay at Jacaranda Cottage. These include skills in budgeting, health, domestic responsibilities, communication, time management and personal wellbeing. Jacaranda Cottage enables young women to move into independent accommodation with confidence and hope.
